The transitional services at Oak Arbor are committed to working with residents to allow for increasing independence, while focusing on establishing a solid recovery program. The program is divided into a three-part transitional recovery program. Phase I (Month 1-2) - Includes the orientation and adjustment level of treatment. The goal of this level is stabilization in 12-step meetings, sponsorship and full-time employement. Phase II (Month 2-3) - Residents at this stage begin to enjoy more flexibility within the community. Residents are employed full-time, have obtained a sponsor and are more integrated in the recovery community. Phase III (Months 3 plus) - Offers more independence. The emphasis continues to be on full-time employment, attendance at 12-step meetings and maintaining an ongoing relationship with a sponsor. Aftercare - Provided for residents of the transitional services and the intensive outpatient program. This group meets weekly and offers former residents and consumers an opportunity to address issues related to ongoing recovery. |
